Dise\u00f1ada en estilo moscovita por Mihail Preobrazensky en San Petersburgo, su adaptaci\u00f3n en Buenos Aires fue realizada por Alejandro Christophersen quien realiz\u00f3 entre otros edificios el caf\u00e9 Tortoni y el palacio Anchorena (canciller\u00eda) entre otros.<\/p><p>Este templo, con sus cinco c\u00fapulas azules y cruces doradas, fue financiado en gran parte por el zar Alejandro III, respondiendo a la solicitud de las comunidades ortodoxas griega y eslava residentes en la ciudad.<\/p><p>El interior de la iglesia que se encuentra en el primer piso incluye una pared ornamentada que separa el altar de la nave, as\u00ed como murales, vitrales b\u00edblicos y un mosaico de la Sant\u00edsima Trinidad en la fachada. Declarada Monumento Hist\u00f3rico Nacional en 2000, la iglesia es clave para la comunidad religiosa y el patrimonio cultural de Buenos Aires<\/p><p>En Argentina, la poblaci\u00f3n ortodoxa asciende a aproximadamente 400,000 personas, entre distintas comunidades incluidas las\u00a0 griega, rusa, serbia y antioquena (sirio-libanesa)<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8258865 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"8258865\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Como habr\u00e1n notado, la cruz ortodoxa es distintas a otras cruces.
